Description: The Chanticleer Pear is a upright-pyramidal tree that is much narrower than other ornamental pears. It has attractive flowers, foliage and fall color. It will grow up to 40 feet high and 15-20 feet wide. Chanticleer Pear Trees are very adaptable to many different soils and it tolerates drought, heat and pollution. The best time to prune them is in winter or early spring. Because of its shape, the crown is less prone to branch breakage with heavy winter snow.
